We fight like a bear for our clients.

I represent injured or ill workers in their claim for Workers' Compensation benefits and Social Security Disability benefits. The injured worker is likely in need of representation when the insurance carrier is refusing to pay for lost wages or medical treatment. Legal fees are paid by the claimant, however all legal fees are approved by the law judge and are reduce from workers' compensation recovery. That same injured worker may need to claim early Social Security Disability benefits because they have been unable to return to the work force for more than 12 months. I handle the filing of the claim and appear at hearings.

I also represent uninsured employers who may have a claim for benefits filed against their company and do not have the required workers' compensation insurance coverage. I am retained by the uninsured employer to reduce the liability and protect against future costs. I appear in court an defend the employer's interests.

I also represent employers or companies who have been penalized by the State of New York Workers' Compensation Bureau of Noncompliance. The state may assess penalties against an employer or company for not having workers' compensation insurance coverage for their employees. The penalties accumulate quickly and can be assessed interest for nonpayment. Once receiving a penalty letter from the Bureau of Noncompliance, the employer must act quickly to resolve the penalty.
